South Korean scientists have unveiled a breakthrough battery technology that could completely transform how we use power. The new battery charges from 0% to full in just 72 seconds—a feat previously considered impossible. It uses a hybrid structure of graphene and vanadium oxide, materials that enable electrons to flow almost without resistance.
Unlike standard lithium-ion batteries, which suffer from heat buildup and slow ion diffusion,
this model creates nano-channels that let electric charge pass through at lightning speed. What’s even more impressive is that it does so without damaging the battery’s lifespan. After 10,000 ultra-fast charge cycles, it retained over 90% efficiency.
