...all happening at the expense of higher lithium pricing. China EV growth does not equate to higher lithium prices. Most of their lithium needs would in due time be sourced and controlled by Chinese corporations out of Chile/Argentina/Bolivia and Zimbabwe.
EVs are becoming more affordable. In China, over 60% of electric cars sold in 2023 were cheaper than their combustion engine counterparts. With the price war heating up ytd, this percentage should be significantly higher. It's a clear sign of the end for ICE vehicles in China
