@1ronnie - I may have posted this before, but my middle daughter and her husband, who live(d) in England have been driving hybrids for a while now, first one was a second-hand one purchased from another musician (John Williams, guitarist), now about 10 years ago. It was an ungainly looking car, with a large front, but they were happy with the consumption and never had a problem re-filling it. The only thing was, it was 'silent' and that takes some getting used to. But I can see the advantage of a hybrid vehicle, especially in the big cities of Europe and North America - the car re-charges its battery while using the 'other' fuel - also whilst idling - waiting at traffic lights/crossings etc. They replaced this car with another hybrid - don't know what my s.i.l. is driving now, but may find out when I visit. They were/are gig musicians. Here I have a new friend where both he and his wife drive electric cars and have no problem re-fuelling.
