    ...either Tesla and other US EV makers offer a lower price, and hence lower margin or they would have to find a way to reduce their production cost. Reducing production cost usually involves a reduced battery cost. A lower lithium price would obviously help them.

    ...US won't allow Chinese EVs to enter the US market. So Chinese EVs can only largely grow in their domestic market and in EU to a degree.


    What price are most EV shoppers looking to pay for an EV? 47% want to pay less than $40,000. The image says this is for EV shoppers, so I bet for the general population it's an even greater proportion that want to pay (or can afford) less than 30k. But it's also worth taking into account: What happens when a desirable product shows up that's cheaper than they expect?
