Ronnie, that would only have a possibility of working if China also took in most of the worlds old batteries, even if the total EV market wasn't still growing in 2042 (IMO unlikely) China's business model involves plenty of exports, obviously they would soon run out of minerals if they didn't import or mine any raw materials.
