Just for information India will be the last one to adopt this technology. Traditionally India has always been followers and always late when it comes to adoption of new tech. I am orginally from India and on my visit last year, I heard that one of biggest India car company ( now owners of Landrover) is planning EV for local cars...Not sure what stage they are on but will try to find out.
There is lot money n population in India and if this takes off then they ll need lot of batteries.. Plenty of Rickshaws there too currently on Gas...
Asked a friend living in Dubai ..who works for Dow Jones covering markets in Middle east and he said that petrol is too cheap to worry about electric cars, but again with the amount of money they have with their oil, they ll take anything as long as its new tech. If likes of luxury car makers make a lot of EV as they have planned then middle east buyers would take it anyday...
