    I reckon wireless charging for small areas, e.g city busloops could be practical. For the broader range of vehicles I don't think they'd be practical at all

    Considering that we can get a large car to do 400+ ks and a commmuter sized car to do 250ks with the current battery technology I would say that already makes inroad charging obsolete. We will get better ranges over the next few years that will make evs practical for 95% of Australians.

    The wireless charging I'm referring to do is in parking spaces and garages. Instead of having to plug your car in, you just park over the charger and it does everything automatically. No leads to worry about. No forgetting to charge the car. The charge rate varies with grid demand etc.
