Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have no engineering, efficiency, or cost advantages over BEVs. I’ll eat my hat if they ever manage to gain 5 percent of the auto market. It would be a wasted effort to repeat the bloody obvious reasons why this is a dead end technology

BEVs will become the dominant automotive powertrain in this decade. But no disruptive technology ever takes over 100% of the market. There are always diehard fans of old fashioned things they’re used to, folks who fear new things they don’t understand, and just plain contrary folks. You can still buy a flip flip phone, vhs player, oil lamp, and instant camera. But those are not areas of business growth.
