Four years ago I started a thread entitled "e-buses: Markets that matter", because e-buses use a lot of NdFeB already. I noted at the time that BYD was using in-hub motors which made it obvious they were NdFeB-enabled. BYD is from Shenzhen, a city with over 20,000 electric buses.

But the thread was reported and terminated as off-topic by someone who wanted to talk about First Captain ausheds' beloved 48V mild fake hybrids instead. How stupid can one guy be?

But times have changed. We now have tens of thousands of electric buses on the road in cities around the world and the market is huge and begging for early conversion given urban setting and unsuitability of big diesel engines with horrible stop-start and idling emissions.

Anyway, the trajectory of the individual markets that create meaningful Dy-NdPrFeB demand (like robotics, all EV variants, turbines, e-scooters, et al) are all important to Lynas investors, and at the apex of my investment thesis. e-buses will ALWAYS be more relevant to Lynas regardless BEV of FCEV than mild hybrids will ever be.

I love in-hub NdFeB motors. They are the future.

    All imho. gltah. dyor.
