Norway is a unique country and looking at them to decide what is going on in the EV market can be misleading. There are only a few other countries like them one being Iceland. Since the 1950s Norway has obtain almost all their Electric power from Hydro. So there electric is inexpensive and very clean. This makes it an ideal location for BEVs. Verses countries with expensive dirty power. Of course PHEVS will fall off.

One interesting fact is that global warming may kill much of Norway's hydro power over next 25 to 50 years. All their power comes from Glacier run off in the mountains. These are receding rapidly, lowering the amount of power available. It is why they are a leader in pushing wind to be a new source of power. My guess is without nuclear, which they are apposed to, they have a big problem. They understand this and are working actively on solutions.

Iceland is Geothermal not hydro. So no problem with it going away
