The so-called promise of fusion power is only real when they figure out how to harness it economically in the real world. Basically, it remains just a pipe dream for the moment; nothing has changed, we all knew it could happen but HOW? Every fusion power plant would require its own power plant to run. Just look at how long it took to get where we are; Japan has 60-year-old nuclear reactors. Even if the acceleration of science continues, it will likely take decades to design and build an economical trustworthy fusion power station.
Fusion power is perhaps the only technology more hyped than the next great bitcoin, battery tech or permanent magnet material.
IMHO, a nothingburger in real-world power generation for at minimum another 20+ years but of course great trading. We have the answers - wind and sun - that can take us forward now.
Lynas is a line-up lock; fusion power just a maybe baby.
