BEVs or bust! is a rallying phrase and a certainty. If ROW does not commit to high voltage traction motor manufacturing and EVs overall, the Chinese will happily allow Lynas to struggle along, picking Mt Weld clean at prices the Chinese control.
What don't you get about that part?
The only thing I care about is high voltage traction motors. For the present, that's BEVs predominantly and electric drive hybrids minorly.
You want to argue endlessly about ICE hybrids VS battery or fuel cell power hybrids. Since they all use NdFeB-powered high voltage traction motors, I am satisfied as I have said ca. 100 times and have NO USE for your fancyshmancy Eastern Massachusetts Analytical anti-EV scheme or any other. Neither does anyone here. No idea why you continue.
