Hard data in for China NEV sales second month post subsidy reductions, with a stark visual. Very clearly there is a mountain to climb thru to EOY, then State subsidies eliminated in January. Will China make some effort to ease the carnage among the 457 manufacturers currently, or let it go the way of previous bubbles and let the top 10% fight it out with the rabble?



New energy vehicle sales in August 2019 decreased by 15.8% year-on-year

In August, sales of new energy vehicles totaled 85,000 vehicles, down 15.8% from the same period of the previous year. Among them, pure electric vehicles sold 69,000 units, down 6.0% from the same period of the previous year; plug-in hybrid vehicles sold 16,000 units, down 41.3% from the same period of the previous year.
From January to August, sales of new energy vehicles reached 793,000 units, an increase of 32.0% over the same period of the previous year. Among them, the sales of pure electric vehicles completed 629,000 units, an increase of 40.8% over the same period of the previous year; the sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles completed 163,000 units, an increase of 5.7% over the same period of the previous year; the sales of fuel cell vehicles completed 1,125 units, compared with the same period of the previous year. Increased by 7.3 times.
