The world as a whole isn’t getting anywhere with CO2 reduction, especially when you look at the effect of current policies on the Third World and its massive population growth (because in fact its peoples are actually living longer and reproducing more!)
Real economic growth leads to lower population growth, better health and better lives, but only with plentiful affordable ENERGY.
The best and cleanest way to get that is by fusion - from H2O. So we should be putting far more resources into fusion research than unreliable solar power in the higher latitudes, and wind or wave - IMHO
And Lomborg makes a lot of sense to me, eg:
