    There is a reference to a permanent magnet motor in the link.

    It runs counter to recent BMW claims to the contrary, unless it is not an REE-based permanent magnet. For a PMA-SRM, there is no requirement that the PM be DyTb-NdFeB that I am aware of and since there is plenty of space inside the rotor...

    Have you any further info?

    I looked for a bit, found the 107hp motor but not a lot of info on the web came up. If they are using NdFeB-enabled traction motors, that would be a STRONG positive development imo. They have had quite a lot of time to decide.
