Good article. i still believe that availability of REE is more important than price Depending on size performance and a few other factors A BEV only has a few $100 of REE in them. So price doubles not much impact on the sale of a 40,000 car. Supply gets disrupted a 40,000 car does not ship. I predict the shortage never occurs. it is often forecast for many things not just REE. As long as governments do not get involved the users and suppliers will see it coming long before a reporter or government and make the needed changes in time. Yes there will be temporary hiccups like IC shortage right now for autos but it should be solved in about a year. IC shortage was caused manly by large rapid change in demand for cars by Covid. things like this will always have a big impact but usually short lived. That's the view of someone over 70 I am sure someone under 30 sees it different.
