2022 article that's just cool. The chase boat uses twin 80 kW fuel cells provided by Toyota -the same ones used in their Mirai FC car.
While I do not think fuel cell cars will ever gain a large market share of personal transpo given the increasing competency and higher efficiency of BEVs, I have much-higher hopes for the H2 fuel cell technology in heavy transport and stationary grid-scale applications.
Further with respect to EV batteries, I expect that their second life in energy storage will be monumental.

Given the fact that most EV batteries could spend as much or more time powering energy storage than they spend in a BEV, one might imagine battery manufacturers and power providers coming together to the benefit of EV customers.
