Yes Toyota now offers a fuel cell not sure how real it is. . They have not done much wiht BEVs but that is because when certain Grid problems are fixed kie cost and polutions and batery problems, like high charge and discharge rates , are fixed ther Highbreds will not take much to jump to BEVS. Have you looked at how many PHEV and HEV's Toyota Nisan and Honda have intoducced. the performance of the Camray and Accord improvements. . this was not a minor tweek they increased voltage in a major way. Performance of the small 4 cylinder with hybred is better than 6 cylinder and cost about the same. They both get better than 50 MPG combined. I would hardly call that ignoring the market. Sales have sliped in the last few years but so have all cars especially sedans. Toyota is rumored to Binging out both a tacoma and tundra hybrid in 2020. they brought out the RAV 4 last year. Honda has already change most of their SUVs to Hybrids. I do not know what you expect but I do not call that ignoring the market.
