SIR was a tricky beast. We had better grading Western Areas in the bin and nickel down the drain. Then we had to understand that it was Thompson style as opposed to Kambalda style - which has implications on opex, and also a style of mineralisation unknown to the Fraser Range. Despite all that it was obvious it was the real deal. The lessons from SIR are follow the money flow and stick with the trading plan.
