So you think every small business, cafe, church and cemetery that is an "EV charging station" has some type of metering device on all their power outlets and a billing system so people can pay for the electricity to charge their EVs or will it all be freeeee, don't forget not all people live in a house an ever increasing amount live in multi storey unit buildings I can only imagine all of those extension leads hanging out of the 6th storey window charging their EVs, what a fire hazard, maybe in the future these buildings will have lockable charging points to every units parking bay but to retro fit all the existing buildings? forget it. It all sounds so easy until reality sets in and the vast amount of time and money to implement all of this infrastructure is realised, it sounds like the rich will be the only ones that will be able to afford to buy and run an EV and the battlers will get taxed heavily to drive their old camry to work. So much for trying to reduce the cost of living in Australia.
