Range in modern EVs if far enough that my wife would only need to charge once every two weeks if she wanted to - not that it takes a long time to plug in a power point. Less servicing and maintenance. Not having to cue up like a drongo at the petrol station. Our local one is always busy so fuelling up takes ages, and it's on the wrong side of the road for us, so driving there is always a pain. Last time my wife went there two random guys got into a fistfight over who got to use the next pump. It definitely takes more than 2 mins- more like half an hour. Compare that to taking 10 seconds to plug and unplug at home. Absolute no brainer for us.

Unfortunately where I live currently there is nowhere to charge an EV in our common area car park & with the cost quoted to install them it won't be happening for a long time. So a hybrid RAV 4 or similar will be my next car I suspect.
