Yeah, charging is an issue. Probably why hybrid vehicles will be popular for our wide land with remote destinations. You can still take jerry cans with you.
As far as all electric goes they reckon in about 10 years there will be better battery technologies coming to the market with faster charging and better range.
As it happens my second vehicle is now a hybrid.
I took the old pushbike out of the shed, bunged an electric motor and battery on it along with some panniers.
It weighs as much as a baby elephant fully loaded but eats the hills on the way home.
Bloody brilliant!!!
