I have been wondering exactly the same thing, I have been looking for a while and have been leading bidder at a few Lloyds auctions as well as talking with some private sellers. The thing is by the time you take off the QLD rebate and GST from a new M3 not to mention the recent price cuts you end up with not much more that what sellers want for their old ones.

Obviously most of them are not forced sellers so they just hold onto them instead of selling, I suspect a fair few were planning on swapping their M3 for an MY but only if they got a good price for their M3. Anyway now I am going to get a M3 Highland LR, I just wish Elon would give it adaptive LED headlights as standard and I hope solid state batteries are not released to the world tomorrow.
