Actually the EQXX isn't yet in production but it will be soon and whatever tech it has will filter down to the masses. Remember when MB introduced a drivers airbag as a $10K option in the '80s. Now (in real terms) you can buy a decent family car for that and its got 1/2 dozen of them.
$250K sounds a bit rich, what is it. A mine spec Landcruiser is pushing $100K, the others are a bit cheaper. There are various companies converting ICE 4WDs to EV for the mines but buying an ICE and converting it to EV is an expensive way to do it. There will be plenty of factory mine spec EV utes shortly for under $100K but I doubt if there will be any Toyotas amongst them.
