The VIC government is so upset about EV owners pay 0 tax on petrol they even tried to introduce a new tax for EVs by measuring the km you drove. They can tax fossil fuel but they can't tax the sun.
Go to Norway, Iceland and Sweden and see for yourself. It is already the mass market.
Mechanical engines have been invented over a century ago and little innovation have been made since, electrical engines are just getting started.
