Shifting money from clean electricity (and biofuels)?

This would suggest the US is less green than when "The Big O" first came to office? Is the model now to generate electricity any old way and feed it through smart grids, lithium batteries and EV's?

I assume they want to first and foremost tackle their oil dependency and if they can tackle the environment second?

Not necessarily the best news for the environment. But good for ORE holders I guess.

Also not necessarily Obama's fault as he's been boxed in badly on the politics and now the economics by the Republican posturing and IMO scary elements of the Tea Party? I assume the EV/battery continued push might at least get consensus on the basis of fighting the Chinese efforts in this area which appear very determined (not to mention Sth Korean and Japanese).
