It doesn't matter whether it will take 2030 or 2050 to reach 89%.
The direction of the trend is clear. It is foolish to bet against trend.
In 2010 an EV would hit 100miles and in 2024 a mass market EV easily hit 300 miles. That's a 300% increase while ICE vehicles have averages 200-400 miles for decades with no improvement, because they are using mechanical engines.
In another 15 years EV will certainly reach 1,000 miles, and as price keep coming down, the price-value proposition of EVs are self-evident. There is no way ICE vehicles can compete with advances in eectrical technology and AI in the long term.
