The coal fired base-load power used to charge the EV's is also inefficient, although steam turbines aren't nearly as bad as most automobiles!

Solar PV arrays might attain 12% efficiency. The rest of the energy is reflected back into the atmosphere, compounding the greenhouse effect. Every square kilometre of PV arrays will increase the earth's albedo with unknown consequences for climate change.

The manufacture of PV arrays requires the element germanium. Presently, much of the world's germanium is sourced as a by-product of zinc refining. That's not a terribly conservation-friendly activity. Silicon, too, requires enormous amounts of energy to produce.

The proposition that solar power and EV's are better for the environment is not true just because it gets a few likes on social media.
