We have a family member who had and then sold off a popular 2023 Hybrid. It was a cute looking kind of car I guess. When I was in it, I noted that the only time it appeared to operate on ‘electric’ was when it first started up, and at traffic lights. As soon as there was any pressure applied to the accelerator pedal, it was running on petrol the entire time. I didn’t see the point. I also noted the fuel economy was similar to the basic petrol car anyway.
For me, it is either full petrol (& diesel), or full electric. The sooner they invent the nuclear powered Toyota Landcruiser I’ll be a happy man. With back up Lithium storage capacity of course.
