There are "fewer moving parts, less servicing, less things to break" in an EV, but at the same time they don't have around the 100 years of development of ICE vehicles. Personally I'd prefer if both EV's and ICE vehicles were made simpler, lighter, cheaper, and more reliable. Every extra gimmick or "luxury feature" is something else to break.
