    Muddy, are entitled to your opinion but only a peanut brain would even consider charging their EV everyday on their way to work.

    Firstly unless the battery is less than 10kWh it wouldn't need to be charged everyday but if it was only a tiny battery then your weight argument would be shot down in flames anyway. A zippy little 2 seater with a 20kW motor, 10kWh battery and adequate crash protection would weigh 750kg and have a range over 100km in suburban conditions.

    Secondly even someone who rents would just plug in a wall charger so their EV battery is topped up to 80% every night while they sleep, for commuting there is no need to ever visit a fast charger, maybe a free destination charger at a shopping centre if you want to save a few cents on your power bill.
