This was my big issue with Labor's renewable policy they took to the last election. They (IMO) need to focus more on ensuring we have the renewable supply and infrastructure before going all-in on EVs. I had this argument with a friend of mine, but he came at it from the view of EVs will hopefully increase the want for renewable energy, which I also understood.
People buying EVs are trying to do the right thing, but they need the renewable energy supply to catch up to make a significant rather than a small difference.
