    Hi Paalo,

    I noted this too and was a bit surprised they hadn't already undertaken certification in several countries.

    Anyway...every country's civil aviation authority must approve any modification to any aircraft and NEA's HyperPod represents a material alteration to the external aerodynamics, balance and struture of the aircraft (Cessna 210) and as such needs to undergo testing and certification. The US FAA will 'look at' the Australian CAA certification but will undertake their own complete and thorough process.

    This shouldn't (generally) be a problem; the C210 is a hugely popular light work horse and has probably had more modifications put through the FAA than any other aircraft. But we can never predict the timing or outcome of the process.
