jabiruair asked some questions regarding the international opportunity at the AGM today and Simon Crowther specifically called out a recent report (which I take to be the Morgans report) which may have given the impression that they are further along than they are.
He said they are (obviously) thinking about certain international markets, and mentioned the US and Asia. But in terms of what work has been done - they mentioned there are some reciprocal recognition arrangements between CASA & FAA (US) but they are untested and said "I don't want Nearmap to be the ones testing this".
They are only at the stage of trying to understand the certification process(es) and haven't actually applied anywhere yet. He also mentioned they don't know exactly how long FAA certification would take but guessed maybe 6 or 9 months, in his words "not years".
