Geoff, with regard to how long it may be before any offer is formally tabled, i personally think it might still be a while.
On the previous due diligence that Cape did a few months back, PCH divided the info they were prepared to give Cape into two stages: - Stage one, which was basically information that was mostly in the public domain anyway; and - Stage two, which was all the private information that was highly confidential.
Because the talks fell through last time, Cape only got to see the 'stage one' information, but they didn't get to see the 'stage two' information.
So, my thinking is that if they're serious about making a proper bid this time around, they'll need to look at the 'stage two' information. This process may take some time......or it might not!
