Thought I would do some rough calcs as to what earnings per share one could expect from NHC at various Coal prices. These rae just my rough numbers and gives me some perspective if coal prices drop that NHC is still very profitable.
The current coal spot price is US$346. Assuming only NSW production I estimate an annual earnings per share of A$2.59. Nearly the same as the share price!
The average coal price for FY22 (1 Feb to date) I estiamte to be around US$300 (all depends when sales were taking place). So for the past month and a half we have already banked one and a half month of annual A$2.18 EPS which is 27c.
I have other scenarios too if coal prices drop to various levels. I took figures from annual report on segments and just focused on NSW.
