How this can be "shocking" when they did the exact same thing many times over the years is beyond me.
IMO you are to blame as much as they are. I could direct you to endless threads discussing their "credibility gap", reality checks of what they said they would do and what the really did, etc. I could direct you to your replies where it becomes clear you just didn't listen or didn't want to see. But that won't help anybody.
