"CASINO billionaire James Packer has distanced himself from a friend's claim he will support Labor in the Victorian election.
LLOYD Williams, the founder of Crown Casino, was caught on camera telling Opposition Leader Daniel Andrews that Mr Packer would do what he could to help Labor.
"You should probably know I am the executor of the Packer estate, and James is going to kick every goal he can for you," Network Ten reported Mr Williams saying to Mr Andrews on Monday.
But Mr Packer backed away from Mr Williams' comments, saying they did not reflect his views.
"I am overseas and only caught up late last night with news regarding the Victorian election," Mr Packer told media in a statement on Tuesday.
"Lloyd is a very close friend of mine, but he did not speak to me before making his comments to Daniel Andrews and they don't represent my views."
