Yes, Due to Emperor having to shut down due to their operation running at a sustained loss, there are many skilled workers available.
GMR has hired to geos that worked for Emperor, live in Fiji and know the geology back to front. GMR now has 3 top flight Geologists counting Craig McKay who is the Director of exploration and also a top geo.
All three geos have sound backgrounds in epithermal geology which is what Fiji and Vanuatu ground is.
Many aussie geologists don't have this expertise. Craig, having worked with the majors on such ground, knows it backwards.
