I suspect the ANZ actions will continue to have fallout for quite some time - however, you cant really blame them for taking a "first in, grab the lot" approach - then sort it out later.
Im still sufferring from the Opus Prime fallout, with some of my stocks still in relative limbo
Could ANZ have handled it better? Almost certaintly
They could have grabbed, made the margin calls, THEN sold if calls didnt come through
Instead, it was grab, run and sell - to the detriment of EVERYONE else.
I certaintly wont deal with ANZ commercially, but I might (if their reputation is intact) buy their stock, as this level of ruthlessness is what I want looking after MY investment (so long as I am aligned and on the same side)
