My idea of faith is similar. The whole idea of religion is to do the work of meditation or prayer. Spirituality is a personal practice, not an intellectual debate. You put in the hours, do the experiments, and at some point you discover that the gurus actually knew what they were on about. Faith happens naturally at that point because it's based upon personal experiences that match the descriptions in the texts. Doubt drops away profoundly.
It's completely different to the political 'faith'. "I was raised a Catholic, and that's my faith". That sort of faith amounts to nothing, imo.
