Tonight I can only shake my head.  Since I temporarily took up the Cranker's Cloak, I've looked each night for a scintillating, zingy, interesting post that somehow highlighted a significant moment in the day's activities.  Yesterday, the return of Goblin to the thread was indicative of some old timers (respected grey beards) who'd returned to offer their wisdom.

Yesterday was a tough one.  Posts were overflowing like the Brisbane River in 2011.

Today - Jeez - to start off - people didn't know whether it was Wednesday or Tuesday.  And the Flood looked like Lockyer Creek in the middle of a drought.

Things picked up a bit as the day wore on.  A few D&Ms late in the afternoon. Some discussions revolved around the Meaning of Life and the essentialism of mathematical mysticism.   

Goblin made an appearance as a Messiah figure.  (Damn - what have I done?)

SCK was a welcome positive antidote to the eternally pessimistic Martis.

Mongo dispensed chart sense.

Pisces dispensed world weary wisdom.  And sought advice from the Big M.

Plenty of smart repartee came from the usual suspects like Jeeper and Gunter.  (Wouldn't they make a great comedy duo like Abbott and Costello, Cheech and Chong, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.)

Tanatofa and Chris got involved in how many Angels can Dance on the Head of a Pin.  Oh no.  That wasn't it.  It was … about  …. the finer points of Maxi's analysis.

Ahhhh. There were a lot of great posts today.  

But really - Ok - let's face it.  None of us had a clue today.
