you need to look more closely at the numbers marketed by DFA(a questionable outfit). it is based on a ROLLING survey of 52,000 people. it asks them if they are spending more than they earn. if they spend more than they earn DFA calls this 'distress' . reality is , this tiny sample can probably balance their cashflow by cutting their Netflix subscription.
