HI Ashest........... This may sound quite a strange way to store silver bars .. A mate of mine many years ago had many silver bars - some kilos etc . He got a number of old socks, dull colours - no holes and he put the silver bars into the socks,twisted the socks and turned them back over themselves then tying them off with string or what ever. Then he used them as door stops. Obviously internal doors only ????? If single bars were not big enough - a number were placed in hard cardboard and gaffer taped the cardboard so as no movement possible with the bars, then did the socks trick.(not sure of the gaffer tape -check out any chemical reaction). Never lost any silver. He never broadcasted the way of storage, till after he sold them ????
Think about it would you steal a old door stop in a sock ??? Felt like lead or a stone inside?.
