instos may not request a steep discount (for a backstop placement) as the refinancing is nearly completed...i.e one bank agreeing to extension and placing placing caveat is pretty damn close wouldnt you say ?


Deep discounting not required if current holders happy with refi talks or there is strategic buyer to arb it too next door in the event of a takeover attempt.
