Well, you are not wrong. Short term trend is a trend.
But it doesn't confirm a change in trend in the long term aspect which is what we want
However, some indicators to highlight possible change in trend are below:
- Golden Cross: the 50 day ema has crossed above the 200day ema
- Monthly Macd cross: the Monthly MACD has has a cross however, still remains below 0.
- Weekly Macd Divergence: As the price was going down, the MACD at the weekly timeframe was recovering as only now the momentum is changing.
These are some key technical indicators which indicate a change in trend, however, until we break past resistance on the SP.... none of this matters
