Hightrax, what a load of rubbish.
The explosion is typical of the product.
I used it for 20 years, and second son ran a blasting business for
years (pipe laying in a volcanic area)
AN is deliquescent and given being stored in the heat and humidity of
Mediterranean seaside would have over the years it was stored
in the shipping crane bags would have become a solid mass (no longer prilled).
Remember this is an oxygen rich fertiliser/explosive.
A fire would melt the AN - it melts at about 150degC.
It would then start to burn, and would quickly pass 225degC
It burns vigorously, with little sparks reminiscent of kids sparklers.
In volume an AN fire is difficult to extinguish - it has its own oxygen supply.
Around this temperature 220-230dec C it would vaporise into a massive explosion and fireball;
any unburnt - sub 225 product - would go in a second blast.
Crap about nukes and missiles is just that.
There were hundreds of video cameras on the fire
no incoming.
It is reprehensible to post such clear misinformation.
If there was evidence the Lebanese politicians scoured the place to save their arses.
You should be ashamed of yourself hightrax posting such
evil misleading, bulltish.
The common term is lies.
