It looks as if GDX ETF pushed the share price up in recent days so that it could dump some of its EVN shares today during the quarterly rebalance.
They did the reverse with SBM, pushing it down ahead of a buying spree today.
VanEck are becoming a lot smarter than what they used to be.
I had forgotten about their quarterly ETF rebalances thinking that what they did to the goldies last June would not be repeated to any extent.
