Howdy Footmax - not exactly gold but a great article thanks. Personally I see a similarity in the broader area of separation of power in democracies. Ultimately the appointments are made or recommended by the governments of the day. Good economic and social times in stronger economies best enable the systems to (at least appear) to work well. In lesser times they act as a brake or provide resistance to radical decision making and unfortunately in times of extreme duress can begin to devolve as various interests seek to have their own agendas pursued. Personally not inclined to be a conspiracy theorist however have to concede that the natural order of supply / demand economics is likely to be tested over the ensuing months with some of extreme influence playing the game for their personal gain and /or survival. Alternatively, like to think that there are those with the control of and/or to significantly influence the market that their decisions are at least a best attempt to maintain some order both now and as we move into (especially early stage) recovery. Believe we can now truly say that we live in interesting times. GLTA.
