Well considering that the main cost of production is fuel and the blue circle on the left is at the gold price high in 2011 and the blue circle on the right is present day then the cost of fuel in 2011 was close to double that of present day.
Costs have certainly increased because of mindless forward sales programs and higher exploration costs but when the main cost of production is close to half of what it was in 2011 then another answer lies at the core of the price structure and its beyond you to work it out.
I'll just put you down as another brainwashed snowflake. There are many indeed among you.
